Toronto Raptors snap 9-match losing streak after win over Denver Nuggets

The Toronto Raptors were finally able to break their streak of 9 losses after an emphatic victory over Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic led Denver Nuggets. The Raptors defeated the Nuggets convincingly 135-111. Four starters out of five for the home team scored in double digits, Pascal Siakam led the way with 27.

Apart from Siakam, OG Anunoby scored 23 and Powell added 22 for the Raptors. Whereas Fred VanVleet registered 19 points against his name. The Raptors were 50% from the 3-point line and improved majorly from the free-throw line, having an efficiency rate of more than 91%.  

Pascal Siakam leads Toronto Raptors over Denver Nuggets 

Talking about the Denver Nuggets, Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic led the way for the away team scoring 20 points each. Michael Porter Jr. added 19.  

Raptors were into the halftime with a lead of 10 points. Which was brought down to 9 going into the last quarter. But the Raptors seemed very comfortable scoring even in the last quarter as they led 37-30 to seal the game with some margin.

If the Raptors require to make it to the playoff sport, they desperately need a lot of win as they currently sit at #11 in the Eastern Conference. Whereas the Denver Nuggets fail to close the gap on Los Angeles Lakers and still are 2 wins behind. 

Having said that the Toronto Raptors would be up against Phoenix Suns in their next fixture, who have lost their most recent game against Orlando Magic. Whereas the Denver Nuggets have lost their 2nd in 3 games and would be up against the New Orleans Pelicans.
