Tottenham vs Chelsea:  Chelsea marched upon Tottenham at Wembley in the Semi Finals Second Leg of The Carabao Cup.

At the onset of the Omicron variant and denial in European Football, the Carabao Cup Semi Final was all set to kick-off at the Wembley. The German defender, Rudiger showed his amazing goal scoring skills with an early goal for Chelsea. The single goal paved the way for the away side as they were already 2-0 up in their aggregate score. Chelsea won the match by the difference of the only single goal and aggregate score 0f 3-0.

 Pierluigi Gollini (6/10): His hesitancy during the corner cost a lot for his team. Other than that, he was quite consistent today in the goal.  

Japhet Tanganga(6/10): No such contribution from him today other than some standing tackles and short passes. There was no proper man marking from him which gave easy chances for the opponent side to penetrate.

Davinson Sanchez  (7/10):  A not so satisfying performance from him tonight, other than some good clearances. There was a lack of proper coordination between him and his fellow teammates.

Ben Davies(7/10): A not so satisfying performance from him tonight except for a good cross which was a free header. 

Emerson(6/10): It was not his night today. No proper involvement from him in today’s match and no proper passes from him other than some back passes.

Harry Winks (5/10): Some serious miss passes and miss tackles in the midfield which proved dangerous for his side. Although, he was good with his passes and clearances. 

Giovani Lo Celso (7/10): Though his game building was too good tonight, he could have performed better. Some aerial balls and short passes possessed a threat for Chelsea to find but they were minimized quite easily.

Pierre-Emile Højbjerg (6.5/10): A calm and composed, experienced player. But today was really not his night. He was missing balls and also a lot of mispasses came from his foot. Though he had made a good run which was disallowed by the VAR. 

Matt Doherty(8/10): With some crucial passes and proper overlapping and supporting the defenders in need, this player has proved himself to be in good form. Though, we didn’t see any assist or long range shots from his feet today.

Lucas Mora (8/10): Some runs made by him were quite dangerous and his contribution to the midfield was also appreciated. He also played some good short passes and flicks which helped in the attack by his team.  

Harry Kane (8/10): The most unlucky person in today’s match. He was good in his role today and made his contributions as a captain. But his disallowed goal was really a disappointment for him.

Chelsea vs Norwich City

Kepa Arrizabalaga (8/10): A good tackle in the second half which saved a goal. He also contributed for the team with his small saves and calls to his teammates. But, he was not tested in this game. 

Andreas Christensen (6/10): Nothing as such from him today. For his poor performance in the defence he got subbed off in the second half. 

Malang Sarr(7/10):  A perfect Left Back for today. He was passing the ball with ease and his overlapping runs were good enough to pose a threat to the opponent’s defence.

Antonio Rudiger (8/10):  A perfect impactful centre back, who was posing a threat with his strong tackles and making the job of the Spurs’ strikers a difficult task. A wonderful treat to a header from him in the 17th minute made his side take a step forward into the finals. But, his tackle just outside of the D-box cost a lot for his team.

Cesar Azipelacueta (8.5/10): A proper representative of the team. He was playing like a sole warrior in the field. He acted like a captain today. Calm and composed, motivating his team mates. He was both good on and off the field. 

Jorginho (8/10): He along with his midfield duo Kovacic was a serious threat to the opponent side. Aerial balls, short passes and ball winning. Everything was there in today’s game by this Italian. 

Mateo Kovacic (7.5/10): Building up possession for the team, winning balls and short passes. These were a treat to the eyes of this midfielder. Though some fouls might have cost his team a lot.

Hudson- Odoi (8/10): He made the opponent’s defence pay for their mistakes. Bouncing back on the ball after losing them and regaining possession for his team was a piece of cake for him tonight. 

Romelu Lukaku (8/10): An unlucky missed chance at the 13th minute which could have been proved fatal for the Spurs side. His short passes and contribution in the mid-field possessed a threat to the Tottenham defence side. 

Mason Mount (7/10): He could have performed much better today. Though he had taken shots on target and had a conversion rate but he didn’t act well in goals. 

Timo Werner (8/10):  He was in good coordination and quite fast in counter attacks. But some mis chances by him were really not accepted.
