Two employees of Hockey India tested positive for COVID19
On Saturday, 2 employees of Hockey India were found positive for novel coronavirus. Both of them are Quarantined at their home under strict medical monitoring. The 2 patients who were found positive, one is from account department and the second one junior field officer.
Indian Olympic Association (IOA) president Narinder Dhruv Batra adviced India Hockey’s apex body to get the COVID-19 test done for all its staff.
A total of 29 tests were done out of 31 employees in India Hockey office. As per the results results 25 employees has been found test negative in which two were found positive and other two were inconclusive cases. On May 31, two non-adjudicating cases will be re-tested.
“My request and advice to National Olympic Committee (NOC) SG, all National Sports Federations (NSF) and all State Olympic Associations (SOA) is to please get the employees/staff members tested for COVID-19 without any further delay,” said Batra in an official statement.
“This will help in giving confidence to us and all our stakeholders including our Athletes and Elite Athletes,” he added.
Office of Hockey India will remain closed for 14 days and employees who tested negative for coronavirus, will be allowed work from home and also quarantined for 14 days.
