Chelsea are up against Spanish club Real Madrid CF in the UEFA Champions League semi finals second leg. The match is being played at Stamford Bridge in London. The Blues drew 1-1 with Madrid in the first leg with Christian Pulisic scoring the first goal. Karim Benzema equalised for Real Madrid.

Timo Werner scores for Chelsea

Thomas Tuchel took a huge risk by starting Timo Werner after the dismal time he had in Madrid last week. However Timo Werner has repaid the faith of his manager and scored the all important save for Chelsea ! It doesn’t come much easier but for Timo Werner it’s a goal nonetheless.

Once again it’s N’golo Kante who caused the trouble for Chelsea. Andreas Christensen plays the ball in for N’golo Kante who takes a swift turn and drives towards the Madrid defence. The Real Madrid defenders are caught unaware as N’golo Kante releases Kai Havertz whose dunk hits the frame of the goal. However Timo Werner is there to nod the ball in. Werner initially had an effort denied by the video assistant referee.
