UEFA Champions League: RB Leipzig vs PSG player ratings as Leipzig score in the final few minutes to get a 2-2 draw

RB Leipzig were playing host to Paris Saint Germain at Red Bull Arena Leipzig. It was all set to be a huge encounter for the Bulls as they were all set to take control over from the visiting team.

The Bulls started confidently as a goal from Christopher Nkunku in the eighth minute, set the tone of the match straight for the home team. However, a brace from Georginio Wijnaldum got PSG back in front and a lot of work to do for the homeside.

As the match was progressing into an ultimate PSG win, super substitute Dominik Szoboszlai scored a magnificent goal in added time to help RB Leipzig earn a 2-2 draw at home.

Péter Gulácsi (GK) (6.4/10) : Gulácsi had a decent game overall but did concede two good goals from PSG that cost RB Leipzig the lead in the first place.

Mohamed Simakan (6.8/10) : Simakan was really good with aerial duels and also did a decent job at defending. His long ball passes were the ones to look out for with a passing accuracy of 93%.

Willi Orbán (6.6/10) : Just the 45 minutes for Willi Orbán. He didn’t have much to do with the match but had a 96% passing accuracy.

Joško Gvardiol (6.5/10) : Joško did a commendable job at defending, especially winning tackles, ground duels and interceptions.

Nordi Mukiele (6.8/10) : Nordi did a fine job by winning ground duels, tackles and interceptions. However, he lost possession on one too many occasions which handed PSG with a lot of opportunities.

Konrad Laimer (6.5/10) : A poor game for the RB Leipzig midfielder. He had as many as 16 attempts at ground duels but he won barely 6 of them. He topped it by losing possession on 18 occasions.

Tyler Adams (6.5/10) : Tyler did a fine job by contributing equally in the midfield as well as in the defence. He seemed to be quick with his feet as he did a fine job with tackles.

Angeliño (6.6/10) : Angeliño had a good shot on target but was denied by the opposing goal keeper. He also had one of his shots blocked in the defence. Apart from that, he lost possession on as many as 23 occasions.

Christopher Nkunku (8.2/10) : Nkunku had one too many efforts at clinching a goal. He scored a beautiful goal in the eighth minute to keep the homeside in front.

Emil Forsberg (6.8/10) : Emil just got himself as many as 59 minutes of gameplay. He just had the one on target shot in his short stint which was denied by the goalkeeper.

André Silva (7/10) : André Silva made a wonderful assist in the eighth minute to help Nkunku give RB Leipzig the lead. He also had multiple attempts at goal and after winning a golden opportunity such as a penalty, he missed it.

Gianluigi Donnarumma (GK) (7/10) : The highlight of the game for Gianluigi Donnarumma was saving the André Silva penalty in the twelth minute of the match.

Achraf Hakimi (6.2/10) : Another average performance put up by Achraf Hakimi. He didn’t provide with an impactful performance overall.

Marquinhos (8.1/10) : The captain provided a brilliant assist to Wijnaldum that helped him complete his brace. Apart from that, Marquinhos was excellent with his defending as he made valuable clearences and interceptions with tackles. He also made a valuable clearance off the line.

Presnel Kimpembe (6.4/10) : Kimpembe did a decent job at defending and made wonderful clearences and tackles while his mistake granted a penalty to RB Salzburg.

Nuno Mendes (6.2/10) : Nuno Mendes did a decent job at defending but failed miserably at ground duels. He also lost possession on as many as 13 occasions.

Georginio Wijnaldum (8.6/10) : Wijnaldum receives a brilliant pass, square across the goal and he taps it in to make his first goal. He later receives a brilliant pass from Marquinhos to make it two in his pocket and complete his brace.

Danilo Pereira (6.2/10) : Danilo had a pretty busy but an average game overall. Although he made some really good clearences overall.

Idrissa Gueye (6.8/10) : Gueye was exceptionally well at interceptions and tackles and he was quick on his feet to win the balls and make clearences.

Ángel Di María (7/10) : Di María did really well by covering ground and keep the ball moving to make some really good passes. He also made some really good ground duels to win the ball.

Kylian Mbappé (6.6/10) : Mbappé made a really good assist to Wijnaldum but he himself missed out on two big opportunities to score a goal.

Neymar Jr (7.3/10) : Neymar was up and running throughout the game and he kept the ball moving for PSG. He had as many as 17 attempts at ground duels and he won more than half of it. He created good goal scoring opportunities as well.
