Here are the player ratings for the UEFA Europa League fixture between PSV and AS Monaco

AS Monaco defeated PSV Eindhoven 2-1 in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night. AS Monaco got the first goal through Boadu before Gakpo found the equaliser for PSV Eindhoven. However the French club made a late comeback with Diop getting the winner. This puts AS Monaco at the top of the table with seven points in their three games.

Joel Drommel (5.5/10) – The goalkeeper couldn’t do much for the first goal. However he will feel his positioning could’ve been better for the second goal from Monaco.

Armando Obispo (5/10) – The defender will be disappointed with his play tonight. He didn’t mark Diop for the second goal and the substitute got the winner.

André Ramalho (5.5/10) – not the best performance from the defender tonight. He was sloppy in possession at times and made some unnecessary tackles.

Philipp Max (6.5/10)- The left back was combining well with Gakpo on the left flank. His interchange play was good and he could have got an assist if Gakpo kept his shot on target.

Philip Mwene (6/10)- The defender came more into prominence as Vertessen made his way into the field. He slid in a good ball but the latter’s shot was just wide.

Mario Götze (6/10)- The German international was given a free role tonight and operated from the centre. He tried his luck at goal with a powerful right footed shot but couldn’t control it well.

Olivier Boscagli (6/10)- Boscagli’s interchange play with Mario Gotze was very good tonight. Moreover he was also helping Gakpo with the through balls.

Marco van Ginkel (6/10)- The former Chelsea player had an average game tonight. He had one good chance in the first half with a headed opportunity but that effort went wide of the goal.

Carlos Vinicius (6.5/10)- Carlos Vinicius got a lucky assist at the end. Cody Gakpo did all the work but in the end Carlos Vinicius will get the assist for the equaliser.

Cody Gakpo (7.5/10)- Gakpo utilised his pace very well to get past the Monaco defenders. Moreover he was getting in multiple crosses into the box for his teammates. He finally got his reward with a lovely effort right into the bottom corner.

Noni Madueke (6/10)- Madueke looked good for PSV Eindhoven in the initial minutes as he drew in the fouls. However he lacked that clinical edge to score the goal.

Yorbe Vertessen (6.5/10)- Vertessen came incredibly close to getting the winner for PSV. His shot is towards the near post but just has too much power amd takes it high.

Alexander Nübel ( 6/10)- Nubel’s performance was not upto the mark for AS Monaco in the first half . But he improved in the second half and produced some important saves in the end.

Axel Disasi (6.5/10)- Disasi combined well with Badiashile as they did most of the defending together. The teamwork between the two was great today and they evaded the PSV Eindhoven forwards well.

Benoit Badiashile (6.5/10)- An important match for Badiashile and he did well. He won most of the aeriel duels that came his way and cleared away the danger when required.

Guillermo Maripán (6/10)- The right centre back was average tonight and produced nothing special. He marked his players well in tandem with Aguilar.

Jean Lucas (6.5/10)- Jean Lucas made some very good overlapping runs throughout the match. He had a half decent opportunity after cutting back in but couldn’t control his shot.

Youssouf Fofana (6/10) – The AS Monaco midfielder was operating on the left hand side of the three man midfield. He got in some good deliveries into the box for the forwards to catch onto.

Aurelien Tchouameni ( 6.5/10) – The talented French youngster had a good game tonight. Right in the center of the midfield he was I’m charge of all the transition play from the defence to forwards.

Caio Henrique (7.5/10)- Henrique was today played on the left-hand side of the forward line for AS Monaco. He provided an excellent through ball to Boadu which resulted in the goal. Moreover he also got the crucial pass to Diop for the winner

Ruben Aguilar ( 6.5/10)- The right midfielder’s defensive work rate was very good in the match. He made some important tackles while tracking back the PSV forwards.

Myron Boadu (8/10) – Myron Boadu had a very good match for Monaco as he scored the opening goal. He latched onto the through ball amd maintained his composure with a good finish.

Kevin Volland (6/10)- The striker will he disappointed with a chance he missed in the first half. He was found in space by Jean Lucas and had time but couldn’t get sufficient power behind the shot.

Wissam Ben Yedder (6.5/10)- The forward almost made an instant impact after coming on. His well directed shot was saved by the PSV goalkeeper.

Sofiane Diop(7.5/10)- Diop was especially bright since coming on. He slid in several through balls for others to capitalise. He managed to squeeze in from close range to get the winner for Monaco.
