A report from British Broadcasting Corporation has stated that the governing body of European football (UEFA) is working on a proposal that could include the remainder of Champion League, they are hopefully believing for a week long mini tournament with the final taking place on August 29 in Istanbul.

As the whole sporting world have been brought to standstill due to The Novel Coronavirus pandemic, with all the major European League being Postponed and the Champions League being stopped in the middle of round 16.

The reports says that UEFA wants European League final to be held on August 26 in Gdansk and the Champions League final will be held after three days.

UEFA is considering two options, one of which is the Champions League quarter-finals and semi-finals on two legs in July and August. This will only be possible when the domestic leagues resume in June.

The other option is to play the remaining Champions League ties as one-off fixtures after the end of the domestic season and may see the remainder of the competition played over the course of a week.

On next Thursday, both the options will be discussed at UEFA’s executive committee meeting, the reports added.

Basically, the Champions League final will be scheduled to be held on May 30 in Istanbul. And the European League final decided to be held three days earlier in Gdansk.
