The main event saw the Nigerian Nightmare Kamaru Usman take on number 4 ranked welterweight contender Jorge Masvidal. The champ Kamaru Usman was yet to be defeated in the UFC, and was coming off a victory against former teammate and sparring partner Gilbert Burns. Masvidal’s last fight was against Usman at UFC 251, which he lost via. unanimous decision.

Round 1 :

A few low leg kicks from Masvidal began the fight. A low kick from Masvidal again, before Usman landed a right hand. Masvidal ate it. Usman kept Masvidal in check with his jabs, then he landed a punch to the body of Masvidal. A body kick from Masvidal. A powerful takedown from Usman after Masvidal attempted a flying knee.
