The former Bellator Lightweight champion Michael Chandler kept heavy pressure on Oliveira during the first round. He dropped him with a straight right hand and followed with some punches while he was down. But Oliveira showed absolute toughness, he ate those shots and stayed in the fight.

At the end of the first round, Oliveira seems to be in trouble but he came back, even stronger in the second round of the fight. He tagged Chandler with a left hand and then some follow-up shots were only a formality to get the Lightweight belt strapped around his waist at UFC 262.
