The biggest name in the fight game, Nate Diaz is going to make his return against the number 3rd ranked Welterweight fighter, Leon Edwards at UFC 263. Edwards is coming into this fight with a nine-fight winning streak and Diaz knows a win against him can present the next title opportunity to him.

Nate Diaz is one of the biggest draws in UFC and he believes whether he losses or wins against Edwards, he is still going to be in the title mix. In his latest interview with MMA Junkie, Nate says,

“I don’t care if I lose, I’m fighting for the title, the plan is win here and then we’ll see who’s next for me. He’s the top guy, he’s the guy who has been beating everybody, so why wouldn’t I fight the best guy? It’s impressive when somebody can win that many times in a row in the big show.” {H/T MMA Junkie}

‘The Stockton Slugger’ has been a part of many historical fights in UFC and his fight against Leon Edwards at UFC 263 will mark another historic moment as it is going to be the first-ever five-round fight which is neither a title fight nor a co-main event.

Talking about it, Nate says, “History just happens for me, huh? I was just like, ‘I’m trying to fight a main event for five rounds.’ They’re just like, ‘We got a main event with these guys.’ I’m like, ‘Whatever, I’m the main event either way. Let’s do it.”

Nate Diaz is coming into this fight as an underdog but he has defeated the odds numerous times in his career and he aims to do the same in this fight too. He added, “It’s good to be in action and be able to handle business like I like to do.” {H/T MMA Junkie}

“I’m looking forward to getting the job done. Just get it done, however it’s going to happen it’s going to happen. … He knows how to win and he knows how to get it done, so it’s going to be a serious, but not serious fight. I gotta kill the motherf*cker.”
