This fight card is headlined by the UFC Light Heavyweight champion, Jan Blachowicz defending his title against Glover Teixeira. The addition of this women’s flyweight fight between Andrade vs Calvillo is a great addition to UFC 266 card.

Jessica Andrade is the former strawweight champion and she is making her appearance in the Flyweight division for the third time. She made her flyweight debut against Katlyn Chookagain on UFC Fight Night: The Korean Zombie vs Ortega.

Andrade won this fight by a first-round TKO and following this win, she challenged the women’s Flyweight champion, Valentina Shevchenko at UFC 261. Shevchenko defeated her in the second round of the fight and now she’ll look forward to winning this one.

Calvillo will be coming into this fight with a defeat against Katlyn Chookagain in her last fight at UFC 255. Before losing this fight she was undefeated since her last four fights which include victories against Jessica Eye, Cortney Casey, and a draw against Marina Rodriguez.

Cynthia Calvillo was considered the strongest contender for the UFC women’s Flyweight title before she lost her last fight against Katlyn Chookagain. Chookagain just secured a win against Viviane Araujo at UFC 262.

She already lost once against Shevchenko and even the UFC president, Dana White says he didn’t know what’s next for ‘Bullet’ Valentina. Calvillo only lost 2 out of his nine fights in UFC and if he scores a win against former champion Andrade, the promotion can present her opportunity to fight for the title next.
