The main event of UFC 266 will be kick-started by the women’s featherweight contest between Jessica Andrade (21-9 MMA, 12-7 UFC) and Cynthia Calvillo (9-2-1 MMA, 6-2-1 UFC). Andrade is coming off from a loss against Valentina Shevchenko at UFC 261, and Cynthia Calvillo is also coming off from a loss against Katlyn Chookigan at UFC 255.

Both these athletes fought their hardest to get back to the win column, and after the very first round, Andrade ended Calvillo via TKO and became the first woman to finish her.

Round 1 – Calvillo started the fight by being light on her feet and Andrade lands a low kick. Calvillo tried to land a low kick and Andrade checked it. Big punches traded between both and Calvillo landed a kick to the body. Andrade slips a left hand, followed by a jab.

She kept the pressure high and Calvillo moved away from her and landed a punch of her own. Andrade lands a left hand and Calvillo is backed against the cage, the fight is just about to end and Andrade looks for a finish and she ends Calvillo.

The former UFC women’s strawweight champion, Jessica Andrade secures her second TKO win in her last three fights and after this win at UFC 266, she asked UFC president Dana White to give him the winner of Rose Namajunas vs Zhang Weili 2 fight.

Result: Jessica Andrade def Cynthia Calvillo via TKO (Punches) (Round 1, 4:54)
