Tatiana Suarez might finally return to the octagon after her long break due to injury. The women’s strawweight fighter is targeted to make a comeback against Roxanne Modafferi at UFC 266.

Tatiana Suarez who is famously called the “Woman Khabib” has been out for two years owing to a neck injury. She came into the promotion by winning the 23rd season of The Ultimate Fighter. She remains undefeated as a strawweight. She was last seen in the octagon against Nina Nunes at UFC 238 on June 9th, 2019. She was finally cleared off from her lengthy injury by the medical staff and deemed fit to fight again.

ESPN reporter Ariel Helwani revealed this news earlier today via Twitter. “UFC is targeting Tatiana Suarez vs. Roxanne Modafferi at 125 pounds for UFC 266 on Sept. 25, sources say. Not done yet but that’s the one they have zeroed in on. Would be Suarez’s first fight since June 2019,” wrote the MMA reporter. The fight is likely to be fought at flyweight which is Modafferi’s natural weight class.

Tatiana remains undefeated in her career with a stunning record of 9-0-0. Her last three wins have been against top fighters like Nina Nunes, Carla Esparza, and Alexa Grasso. She is a monster in grappling and wrestling. Out of her last three wins, two have come via finishes. Although her return will be in another division, the fighter is expected to continue her undefeated run.

As far as her potential opponent, Roxanne Modafferi, she has a record of 25-19-0. She is a veteran in the sport and has spent a lot of time inside the octagon. Her last bout was against Viviane Araujo, to whom she lost via decision. The Happy Warrior will be determined to get back on the winning charts.
