“Make me look bad” Francis Ngannou details infamous sparring video with Ciryl Gane, claims his camp buried complete footage ahead of UFC 270

Cyril Gane- Francis Ngannou

UFC Heavyweight Champion Francis Ngannou might most certainly go down as the scariest person to fight inside the cage in MMA history. Ngannou is the only UFC heavyweight in the active roster to have a 100% finish rate. His knockout wins over Junior Dos Santos, Cain Velasquez, Curtis Blaydes, Jarzinho Rozenstruik, Andrei Arlovski, Alistair Overeem and the preceding UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic speaks volumes across his legacy that is yet to be complete but is already in an all-time great list amongst the UFC heavyweights.

After having some tough times dealing with the UFC, Ngannou is now going to make his first title defence at the beginning of the next year when he participates in a title unification bout against interim UFC heavyweight champion and former teammate, Cyril Gane. Gane was fighting just his 10th professional MMA bout when he technically knocked out Derrick Lewis to win the interim UFC championship. For many who believe that the stars are aligned for Gane to become the first undisputed UFC champion from France, it’s going to be interesting to watch how Gane’s movement and game plan will resist the scary power of Ngannou.

Francis Ngannou and Cyril Gane

As UFC 270 comes closer with the new year even closer, there’s video surfing across the internet of the undisputed champion Francis Ngannou sparring with the interim champion Cyril Gane. Francis Ngannou took it to his Youtube channel to talk about it.

As per him, he and Gane shared 6-8 training sessions and the video was shot in early 2019 when Gane was fighting in TKO while Ngannou earned the biggest victory of his career that time, a knockout win over former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez.

“They were filming our training session to promote him for his fight [at TKO],” said Ngannou “So there’s a lot of footage [made] from those training sessions, but a lot of them never came out… and I know for a fact it will never come out, it’s about to make him look better, and make me bad you know, to prove that he is the man,” he concluded.

What do you make of Francis Ngannou’s claims about the footage of his training sessions with Cyril Gane? Do the footage really make Ngannou look any bad or is it in just his head? Who do you have it winning at this epic title unification matchup, and probably the biggest in UFC’s heavyweight history?
