The former UFC Lightweight champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov minced some really mean words about the former three times UFC Flyweight champion and legend Jose Aldo in his recent interview with Russian Media. Khabib has been facing a lot of backlash from people for talking about the ‘King of Rio’ and his arch-nemesis Conor McGregor is the latest one of them.

In his latest interview with RT Sports, when Khabib Nurmagomedov was asked about Jose Aldo having the second peak as he secured a win against Pedro Munhoz in the co-main event of UFC 265 and entered the Bantamweight title contention. Replying to which the Dagestani fighter take stand on his words that peak never comes twice and used some really mean words for Jose Aldo.

Not only this he dragged Conor McGregor in this conversation as well, Khabib says, “How is he showing it? He got beat up when he fought … Petr, right? A guy wins one fight and everyone starts talking.”

“When Conor fought ‘Cowboy’, he looked like a lion. When he fights stronger opponents, he looks like a scared chicken. Fighting top fighters shows your worth. … The level of Russia’s football team will be shown against Croatia, not Malta.”

“A fight against ‘Cowboy’ won’t show what level you’re at, just like Aldo’s fight against Pedro Munhoz. Let him fight Petr the same way. Then we can say he’s peaking again. You saw what he did. He closed up and waited for the ref to stop the fight.”

“That shows that you’re not at your peak. If you’re getting hit and you’re conscious and you’re not defending yourself, I call those fighters businessmen. They come out to make money.”

The rivalry between Conor McGregor and Jose Aldo is also one of the biggest rivalries in UFC but things between these two megastars seem to be better now. Aldo wished McGregor luck to recover from his injury against Dustin Poirier and claimed he is going to become champion again.

Now, ‘The Notorious’ defended Aldo in his latest session of Instagram live when McGregor was asked about Khabib’s comment on Aldo. He says, “Another press conference what is he even doing? More talking is he and then disrespecting Aldo. Little fool of a thing, I’m sick of these fools mouthing about people.”

This was a really brave call from ‘The Eagle’ to speak such a thing about a fighter who has that much title defense in UFC as the number of times Khabib stepped into the Octagon in the promotion.
