With hardly three weeks left for Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier 3, McGregor has issued a stern to his rival Poirier. The pair will be facing off in the main event of UFC 264 on the 10th of July, and revenge will be on McGregor’s mind that night. After having gained the upper hand in the rivalry back in September 2014 at UFC 178, McGregor was brutally knocked out by Poirier at UFC 257, in their rematch, earlier this year.

With the score currently standing at 1-1, Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier will settle their scores in the main event of UFC 264 in Las Vegas. The winner will get to face newly-crowned lightweight champion Charles Oliveira, getting an opportunity to get a title shot in the very next match.

Will it be Conor McGregor all the way?

With the fight only a few days away, McGregor took to Instagram to share a warning to Poirier. He posted a picture from UFC 257, which showed him landing a right hand clean on Poirier. He captioned the post, “25 days I finish the job.” The pre-fight hype has been too good for the trilogy bout.

A win here for McGregor would do his confidence a world of good. Since he was knocked out by Poirier at UFC 257, a lot have began considering him as a washed and demotivated fighter. He will be out to prove them wrong at UFC 264.

Poirier, on the other hand, is already the number one ranked lightweight contender. In fact, he had sacrificed his title match in order to settle his rivalry with the Irishman. Poirier was offered a title fight for the vacant lightweight title at UFC 262.

With all said and done, both the fighters will be looking forward to going hammer and tongs at each other in order to stake their claim as the number one contender, and also settle the scores in the rivalry.
