With this win he will be facing the Heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou for the title unification fight and surprisingly he is the betting favorite to win this fight in the opening odds.

It looks like no one seems to have an answer for Ciryl Gane but according to the former two-division UFC champion, Daniel Cormier, there is one guy that can present a real challenge to Gane, i.e. former Light Heavyweight champion, Jon Jones.

Talking about this hypothetical match-up between Gane and Jones in his latest episode of D.C. and R.C., Cormier says, “Jon Jones is the guy that presents the most problems to Ciryl Gane. Why? Jon Jones has fought at 205 pounds,” Jon Jones has the skill of a little guy. Jon Jones has seen athletes before.” {H/T MMA Mania}

After Francis Ngannou won the UFC Heavyweight title, the first name he was rumored to face was Jon Jones but due to contract negotiation issues, this fight isn’t happening.

Now, Ciryl Gane jumped to this opportunity and he seems to be a dominating force in the division against who even a giant like Francis Ngannou is an underdog.

But Daniel Cormier boasts his claim that Jones can present him a real problem and he added, “Jones beat me twice, I’m an athlete, he’s seen the speed, he’s seen the foot movement, the angles,”

“He’s had to deal with a guy like that before. Now can he handle that at a weight class above? I don’t know. But, I truly believe Jones is one of the guys who truly gives Gane problems, but I don’t know who beats him. Francis Ngannou has his hands full.” {H/T MMA Mania}
