“This is not cool,” Daniel Cormier shares a shocking response to the Quebec newspaper incident

Just last week, Jon Jones‘ arrest, was preceded by the night of UFC Hall of Fame, where he was inducted for his fight with Alexander Gustafsson. Following that night, at the early hours of 25 September 2021, Jones was found guilty of domestic battery and vandalism for which he was arrested and later on bailed.

Followed by this incident, Journal De Montreal, a newspaper of Quebec, Canadian province, mistook “DC” Daniel Cormier for Jon Jones and therefore used his picture to report the latest Jones’ arrest. Now following the hilarious newspaper story, retired UFC fighter and current French commentator for UFC’s broadcasting, Patrick Cote got Cormier’s attention regarding the incident to which “DC” was in complete shock of how could someone commit such a big mistake.

Cormier tweeted few words followed by tagging Cote’s tweet of the incident which was later deleted. He just said: “This is not cool!”

Cormier was nothing but shook with the incident and since then, not much has been covered as for his reaction. One could only wish for such things to not give “DC” any unwanted bad reputation whatsoever. The newspaper’s rectification hasn’t been there yet.

Jon Jones’ arrest was filled with disgust and negative reactions from many fans and pro-athletes around the world. Some people like UFC President Dana White don’t even find it shocking anymore. However, Cormier had a much detailed take on the entire Jones’ situation and how trouble seems to find its way with Jones no matter where he goes.
