UFC Fight Island 6 is just about to take place this Sunday and the event has taken a big hit. The card has lost his co-main event fight Ciryl Gane vs Ante Delija, while the reason for this fight being called off is still unknown. It is believed that Dejila was having some issues that why this fight is canceled. Now Jessica Andrade vs Katlyn Chookagian is expected to be the new co-event.

Ciryl Gane who holds a professional record of (6-0) and Ante Delija holds a professional record of (17-3). Gane appeared last in the Octagon last December when he defeated Tanner Boser and he is being considered as one of the top prospects in the UFC’s heavyweight division.

Francis Ngannou is the training partner of Gane and he says that “Gane is known for his world-class striking. He’s the guy that many people have pegged to be a little challenger; however, he hasn’t been able to fight once this year. It’s not due to the lack of effort”.

Gane has four cancellations this year. Yes! The top heavyweight prospect has been trying to enter the Octagon four separate times this year. UFC has tried pairing him with Shamil Abdurakhimov, Sergey Pavlovich, once again with Abdurakhimov and now Delija.

All four times the fight has been canceled because of one reason or another. This is heartbreaking for the heavyweight prospect as this fight has been canceled at the last minute. UFC has put enough effort into this matchup but unlucky Gane he won’t have a fight this Sunday now.

We can only wait and see that Dana White can find an opponent for him or not in just 4 days.
