The Tokyo Olympics 2020 just concluded and it was a big hit. The United States of America, returned home with a rich haul, and beat the likes of Japan, Russia and China to come first in the standings. Their contingent, especially the wrestling team stood out, finishing with a tally of 9 medals – 3 Gold, 2 Silver and 4 Bronze.

Among the wrestlers, one of the Gold medalists was Gable Steveson. The 21-year old wrestler from Minnesota coasted his way to the finals before clinching a close Gold medal match in the last second to win the Gold medal. In fact, Steveson was on a rampage, blanking every opponent of his until the finals. His performances earned him widespread accolades and he was congratulated by bigwigs like WWE Superstars Triple H and Kurt Angle, among many others.

Gable Steveson has a message for Dana White

Steveson arrived in his hometown yesterday. Upon arrival, he already began executing his future plans. Taking to Twitter, Steveson tagged UFC President Dana White, along with a ‘hand wave’ emoji. People initially perceived it as – Steveson wanted to sign for the UFC. However, it was revealed that the boss only congratulated David Taylor who had won the Gold in the 86 men’s wrestling Freestyle. He failed to mention Gable.

Twitter page MMA Focus pointed out, “On his IG Dana White congratulated David Taylor for winning gold, but never mentioned Gable. Gable doesn’t want to fight in UFC, he just wants to be acknowledged. And rightly so.
