Henry Cejudo has vowed to name his daughter after America. Celebrities and people all over America celebrated the 4th of July. A truckload of them expressed how proud they were to be born in a nation like America. And former two-division champion and retired UFC fighter Henry Cejudo took to Twitter recently to express his gratitude towards the nation that has given him shelter all along.
In a recent Twitter post he divulged that he will be naming his daughter after the nation. He then went to say how he knew the value of living the American dream, since he was an immigrant.
It is to be noted that Henry Cejudo and his girlfriend (with whom he recently got engaged) are expecting a daughter. Cejudo announced his engagement to his girlfriend Ana Karolina, a month ago.
“Happy 4th of July everybody” – Henry Cejudo
Cejudo posted an old picture of himself wrapped in America’s flag with his Beijing Olympics wrestling gold medal. Cejudo’s tweet read, “I love you so much America that I’m naming my daughter after you. As an immigrant son I know the value of living the American dream. Happy 4th of July everybody.”
Cejudo was a largely successful fighter in the UFC. He dominated the flyweight and the bantamweight division and was just unstoppable in his prime. Shockingly after beating Dominick Cruz at UFC 249, he announced his retirement, while he was still a champion.
Despite speculations that he might return soon to the UFC, Cejudo then got his name removed from the USADA testing pool, which all but confirmed his retirement, at least for quite a while. Hence, it is not sure if ‘Triple C’ would come back to the sport, anytime soon. However, his Twitter game never dies. He ensures that he provides entertainment on the social media platform regularly.
