Israel Adesanya, the middleweight champion, who has been pretty active on YouTube of late, took to his own channel to share the prediction for the matchup between Costa and Vettori. Adesanya picked Costa to beat Vettori, since he felt that the Italian would succumb to ‘Borrachinha’s striking. However, Adesanya did acknowledge the toughness of Vettori would take him the entire five rounds.

Adesanya was quoted as saying, “Costa [will win the fight]. Costa is just gonna do what he did to [Yoel] Romero type of shit because Vettori doesn’t have the striking to deal with him.” [via The MAC LIFE]

Both of Vettori and Costa’s last fights have been against Adesanya. While Costa fought Adesanya at UFC 253, Vettori fought Izzy at UFC 263. Costa was knocked out in only the second round of the fight. Vettori, on the other hand lasted the entirety of the fight, but was clearly oustruck by ‘The Last Stylebender.’
