Unlike 2020, Kevin Holland is having a tough year in securing a win this year. But regardless, “The Trailblazer” is always fighting elite competition like Darren Till and Marvin Vettori. However, after testing himself into the waters of the middleweight division, Holland is most likely to drop down to welterweight, and he has a name to call out in the mind.

Holland’s shot to fame was his 5-0 record in the year 2020 where Holland won 4 of them via spectacular fights. His biggest victory came in his fifth win against MMA Legend and Grappling phenom Jacare Souza with an unexpected knockout from the ground! Holland is making adjustments to get that magical run in the next year as well.

Nick Diaz is the former Strikeforce Welterweight Champion as well as the former UFC Welterweight title-challenger. Diaz in his prime was one of the toughest fighters to have ever graced the sport of MMA. Diaz’s last fight comes as a loss at UFC 266 in a rematch to Robbie Lawler when he returned from a five-year layoff.

Although Diaz is known as one of the biggest names in the history of sports entertainment, his resume shouldn’t be overlooked which includes victories over Pioneers of MMA like Frank Shamrock and BJ Penn, and going on, Paul Daley and former UFC Welterweight Champion Robbie Lawler. Diaz has also fought the competition like the likes of the great Georges St. Pierre and Carlos Condit.

Kevin Holland posted an Instagram post dedicated to Nick Diaz that captioned “Smack man smack man yeah that’s me!!!! Let’s Go BUCKO.” Following this, Holland confirmed his callout via MMA Junkie. “I been waiting to slap the slap man since I was on (Dana White’s) Contender Series,” Holland said, in a text. “We had a little run-in. I think it’s a fight the fans will want the commentators to just shut up and listen to the punches landing and our mouths flapping.”

The fight is in the works at all, but this can be an interesting fight considering both fighters will be coming off a loss and both are skilled strikers, but Diaz also has an edge on the ground as well. What do you think of this fight and who do you get it winning?
