The former UFC Welterweight champion, Tyron Woodley is the next UFC star to get inside the boxing ring against one of the freakiest professional boxers, Jake Paul. This news was released yesterday that Woodley and Paul signed the contract to face each other.
After Ben Askren’s unsuccessful attempt, it is now Woodley’s responsibility to represent the MMA community and shut down Jake Paul’s stunt once and forever. The trash talk between both of them has already started, as in his latest interview with Ariel Helwani, Woodley says,
“Easiest fight of my career & biggest purse of my career all in one night, basically, they brought me in to take out the trash. Can’t wait to shut this b*tch up. This is getting done for the culture, the whole MMA/boxing community, to rid this guy of combat sports.”
Jake Paul also didn’t take much time for responding to this and says, “I have a list of people I plan on shutting up with my fists.. Tyron’s a seasoned striker who has fought the best in the world. I certainly respect his career, but I will be sending Tyron into a permanent siesta on August 28th.”
Paul is undoubtedly one of the most controversial images of combat sport and Woodley has achieved so much in his life that Jake Paul can’t even think of.
Kevin Holland isn’t a fan of Tyron Woodley entering into this match
After this huge announcement, Tyron Woodley received a lot of support from the MMA community. Many UFC stars came forward to support Woodley in this match but some of them doesn’t believe he can finish Jake Paul.
The UFC Middleweight fighter, Kevin Holland is one of them. Talking on social media Holland asks the fans how could they even let this happen. Holland says, “I’ve recorded this video like twelve times because I just don’t know what to tell you guys, But how the f*ck are we sending Tyron Woodley to represent us to go box?”
With mixed reactions from the MMA community, it is going to be interesting to see how Woodley ends up on the winning or losing side of this match.
