Lee was on a five-fight winning streak when he took on Tony Ferguson at the main event of UFC 216, Lee had his moments in the fight, but he was caught in a triangle choke and lost the interim belt that night.

Ferguson managed to put up an incredible 12 fight winning streak, but his performances in his recent fights have not been impressive, he is on a three-fight losing streak, and he got dominated in those fights.

Lee talked about this and claimed that isn’t interesting in facing Ferguson right now, “That was a fight that I was interested in up until I saw him just get dismantled by Charles Oliveira, especially on the ground,” Lee said. “That one would kind of hurt my heart a little bit because I would beat him so bad that it would of take away from our first fight.”

Lee stated as much as he would like to take this fight for some easy money, he wouldn’t do it, “I would do it. Of course, I would do it. Easy money is easy money at this point, but I think he’s too far gone, and I think he’s too far over the hill. I don’t like beating up on people that don’t put up a good fight.”

Lee lost his last fight to the current lightweight champion Charles Oliveira, and he is now going to try his luck at the welterweight division.
