‘They sparred and made money’ – Khabib Nurmagomedov mocks Logan Paul vs Floyd Mayweather

Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather fought it out in an exhibition boxing match recently at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

Logan Paul vs Floyd Mayweather was a snooze-fest. The exhibition fight went the full eight-rounds, and since there was no knockout in the fight, no winner was declared. The contest was largely dominated by momentary hugs from both the fighters. There was a point in the fight where Mayweather appeared to knock down Paul, but held on to him so that he wouldn’t get knocked down.

Both the stars walked out with a fat bag of cash. Speaking about the fight in a recent interview with RT Sport, Khabib Nurmagomedov claimed that it wasn’t even a fight. Khabib stated that Logan Paul vs Floyd Mayweather was purely business, but maintained that he will not be commenting anything further.

Khabib was quoted as saying, “What’s there to say? They came out, made money. It’s purely business. There was no competitive aspect to it. Old Mayweather came out, they sparred and made money. What else is there to say?” [via RT Sport]

He then revealed if he would take up such a venture in his life. Speaking about which he said, “The guys decided to make money? Should I tell them to not make money and not fight? They came out, put on a show, and earned tens of millions. I have no interest in doing something like that yet. If you give a bit more than ‘a hundred bucks’ I’ll think about it.” [via RT Sport]

Khabib is currently in Almaty, Kazakhstan to witness Eagle Fighting Championship, event 37. He recently became the owner of the promotion.

Eagle 37 was headlined by Eagle FC President Shamil Zavurov vs Tirloni. Just a while ago Zavurov emerged victorious via. TKO in the second round of the fight.Khabib will be returning to the United States since a lot of his Dagestani brothers are set to fight in the month of July.
