The UFC Lightweight division champion Khabib Nurmagomedov showed no intention of coming back in the division even after Dana White persuading him. After this UFC 257 is considered a major event because it marked the return of Conor McGregor.

But ‘The Diamond’ Dustin Poirier had some other plans. Poirier knocked out Conor in the second round of the five rounds contest and became the major contender for the UFC Lightweight title.

Along with this former Bellator Lightweight champion, Michael Chandler also announced his presence by knocking out Dan Hooker in the very first round of the UFC 257 co-main event. These two fights will be making a major impact on the rankings of the UFC Lightweight division.

With his win against Tony Ferguson, Charles Oliveira jumped to number 3 in the Lightweight rankings. Now after knocking out Conor McGregor, Dustin Poirier will jump to number 1 in the rankings the spot that Justin Gaethje is holding.

It is going to be interested to see at which position Michael Chandler will be entering in the ranking. For now, UFC’s Lightweight division looks like this:-
