“Arrive Thursday noon…Smash the weight cut” – Nasrat Haqparast all but confirms fight against Dan Hooker at UFC 266!

Nasrat Haqparast vs Dan Hooker at UFC 266 is on! It looks like the lightweight fight which was in jeopardy might be happening after all. It all started with Dan Hooker claiming that he had visa issues and might not be able to make it to Las Vegas. However, he somehow got his visa approved and confirmed his presence at the T-Mobile Arena.

Then visa approval issues struck his opponent Nasrat Haqparast, who also informed that he had issues regarding his visa getting approved. Dan Hooker momentarily went to the extent of responding to Arman Tsarukyan’s callout, taking a jibe at the Russian on Twitter.

However, Haqparast took to Twitter to clarify that he would be ready for his flight in Frankfurt if his visa is issued on Thursday morning. He then went on to details his plans, before requesting his fans to keep him in their prayers. If everything goes according to plan, Haqparast will arrive on Thursday at noon.

Nasrat Haqparast’s Tweet read, “5 hours drive Kickdown to Frankfurt. Gonna be ready IF my visa is issued tomorrow Thursday 7:30am. If all goes well. Catch the next flight 11:00am to Las Vegas. Arrive Thursday noon. Smash the weight cut. And put on a show. Pray for me guys.”

He also thanked the people working hard behind-the-scenes, so that he could get his visa approved: “Thank you to the @ufc and all the people working hard and pushing to get this short notice visa. Thank you to the @usconsfrankfurt for pushing it and hopefully processing until tomorrow morning . Now let’s hope everything goes well.”

Haqparast is coming off a unanimous decision win over Rafa Garcia at UFC Fight Night: Edwards vs Muhammad. Prior to that he had beaten Alexander Munoz, and had gotten back on track following a TKO loss to Drew Dober at UFC 246. He will be looking forward to climbing up the Lightweight division ladder when he takes on ‘The Hangman’.

Hooker, meanwhile will be looking forward to shrugging off his two-fight skid. He is coming off a defeat against Michael Chandler at UFC 257. A brutal TKO loss. Who do you think has the edge in this fight?
