“Jones doesn’t want that fight,” Chris Weidman warns Jon Jones to beware of facing Stipe Miocic in his return

Miocic is 20-4 in his overall MMA career with 15 wins via knockouts and 5 decision wins.

Stipe Miocic- Chris Weidman

UFC middleweight Chris Weidman knows exactly how good is Stipe Miocic getting as a heavyweight in case you were wondering where the latter has been up to considering his public disappearance. Miocic the former UFC heavyweight champion, who’s often considered as the greatest UFC heavyweight of all time, lost his belt back in March 2021 at the hands of Francis Ngannou, the current champion.

Miocic lost to Ngannou in a rematch but was responsible for handing Ngannou his first loss in the UFC in their first fight. Miocic also has significant wins over the likes of Junior Dos Santos, Alistair Overeem, Fabricio Werdum, Mark Hunt, Daniel Cormier and many more. Miocic is now looking forward to most likely face light-heavyweight great Jon Jones on his return in order to get back to winning column, eventually leading to a title shot.

Jon Jones vs Stipe Miocic

In an interview with Dave Scmulenson aka The Schmo, Chris Weidman talks about potential Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva boxing match, update on his recovery from shin fracture he had last year, his return and much more. Weidman than also talked about what is Miocic up to and how will his return look like.

“He [Miocic] was smaller,” says Weidman “I trained with Stipe, he’s [one of] my boys I was hanging out with him last night. Bro, he just got big and he’s been doing it quietly. He’s like a solid 250 right now, and whenever he decides to come back, he’s gonna be a problem, like, I don’t think Jon Jones wants that fight. If he thinks he’s going to be against a 225-pound Stipe, he’s wrong… continues Weidman.

What do you make of Weidman’s thoughts on Miocic being a threat for Jones’ return? Who do you think would win between Miocic and Bones? Do you believe that Miocic is the greatest UFC heavyweight of all time? Also, who do you think Weidman should return against as well?
