In a recent Instagram post, Islam posted a clip of him training for his upcoming fight. In the clip, you can see the Dagestani fighter showing off his submission skills and putting his training partner into a deadly submission. Makhachev usually trains at the American Kickboxing Academy in San Jose with coach Javier Mendez but since his next fight is in Abu Dhabi, Islam has decided to stay put in his own country and fly directly to the venue a week before the fight.

Islam is currently on a 10-fight winning streak while Charles “Do Bronx” Oliveira is on an 11-fight winning streak. You couldn’t dream of a better matchup. Charles was originally the champion of the division but was stripped from the title after he lost on the weigh-in scale ahead of his fight against Justin Gaethje. Despite the weigh-in mishap, Oliveira put on a performance like no other and submitted the dangerous opponent.
