Izzy was attempting to capture the 205 lbs title in order to become the Double Champ. He is currently on a 3 fight win streak after that loss.

After capturing the Middleweight title, Izzy has defended it five times. He has wins over some of the biggest names in the 185 lbs division including Robert Whittaker, Marvin Vettori and Yoel Romero. The Kiwi also successfully handed Paulo Costa his first ever loss in MMA.
