Julianna Peña shocked the world at UFC 269 in December 202. She defeated Amanda Nunes, who is said to be the greatest female fighter on this planet. The second-round victory against Amanda was one of the major upsets in UFC history. The win earned her the bantamweight title, which Amanda held since 2016. Julianna also handed Amanda her first loss in seven years.

Amanda, who is still the UFC featherweight champion, is expected to be Julianna’s first title defense, but before those two can go at it again, they will be opposite each other on the 30th season of The Ultimate Fighter as coaches of different teams.

It is season 30 of TUF and many past winners like Michael Bisping, Tony Ferguson, and Robert Whittaker have made it big in the sport. Julianna herself won the TUF season 18 and is now coming back as a coach. The new season starts on May 3.

Talking in an interview with TMZ Sports, Julianna revealed how she still feels like an underdog against Amanda and how everyone thinks her win was a fluke. Julianna Pena told: “I could have you know rode off into the sunset and fought somebody else and done something else but the whole point is that everyone thinks it was a fluke there’re tons of naysayers out there and negative people that think that I just fell out of the blue sky and just ended up winning on that night.”

Pena also revealed that this is actually motivating her, and she is confident that she will again defeat Amanda in their rematch.
