At UFC 276 Strickland will face Alex Pereira, and many think that a win will earn him a title chance against Israel Adesanya. Strickland has won six straight fights; his most recent triumph came in UFC Fight Night: Hermansson vs. Strickland when he defeated Jack Hermansson by decision.

At the UFC 276 news conference, Sean Strickland put on quite the show for the audience. Nearly every time he talked, the No. 4-ranked middleweight was able to annoy Israel Adesanya and draw emotions from the crowd and other competitors. Kevin Holland was impressed by Sean’s news conference performance and told him that he had made him proud.

During the interview with The Schmo, he stated, “You know, Big Mouth Junior, you did a good job son and I’m proud of you. I can’t call you son just yet, but I can call you Big Mouth Junior. You know, I taught you that during the pandemic. How to talk like that and I see that you have been practising.”

He added, “You also had your keys dangling on the side with your white tee and blue Levi jeans, just like I do when I’m on the embedded driving in the old schools. I’m proud of you boy, you’re making Corona and motherfreaking California proud, boy. I’m so proud, yes I am.”

Strickland has competed in several UFC events, but he has never been given access to a press conference before a bout. With his high-profile victory against Alex Pereira at UFC 276, this changed. He is renowned for making uncensored, contentious views, and as a result, he even lost his Twitter account. The UFC middleweight acknowledged that he was hesitant to go to his first news conference out of concern that he could be criticized for what he said.
