This time Jedrzejczyk was coming to take her revenge but it didn’t go the way she wanted. Both went all out from the start continuing from where they left last time and exchanged heavy shots. Jedrzejczyk dropped Weili once but the fighter managed to reverse it by taking Jedrzejczyk to the ground.

In the second round, Jedrzejczyk missed one attempt and was caught by a counter from Weili. A spinning backfist that landed perfectly on the chin and floored Jedrzejczyk. It was an emotional moment for everyone in the arena, and fans couldn’t help but pay their respects to one of the best mixed martial artists to ever step inside the octagon. MMA aces also poured down in support of the former champion.

Michael Bisping was in the commentary booth for UFC 275, and he couldn’t help but get a little emotional over her announcement. Talking about it on his YouTube channel, he said, “Joanna Jedrzejczyk retired in the octagon and I was getting very emotional. It was incredible. I asked her beforehand, ‘Joanna, no disrespect, but if you lose this fight, what happens? Are you going to retire?’ And she paused. It went quiet and she thought about it for a long time and she said, ‘Maybe.’”

He added, “And when someone says that it probably means that they will. It probably means that they will, and she did. She decided to hang it up, she took her gloves off and put them down on the canvas, and I was emotional. I was almost in tears because to see a fighter, what they give of themselves, they give a piece of their soul, a piece of their being, they leave it in the octagon.”
