Suarez last fought against Nina Ansaroff on UFC 238 in June 2018. After that health issues ruled her out of the Octagon, but in the latest interview with ESPN, Suarez told that she has been cleared by the doctors and she is looking to make her comeback in September.

Tatiana Suarez says, “I’m super excited to get back out there, its fun to practice, for sure. But it’s just different competing. Everybody knows that. It’s super exciting to just show what you’re working on.”

Suarez was cleared for training in February but she broke her hand while fighting with her boyfriend in the front yard. These are some of the setbacks she has been facing but now she is ready to start the training camp soon.

Tatiana Suarez has dominated UFC women’s strawweight division and she holds victory against one former champion Carla Esparza and current flyweight contender Alexa Grasso. Upon her comeback, she plans to move to the new division, Flyweight.

She says, “Maybe if I’m not cutting too much weight at all, I’ll be a little more stronger and explosive,”. Suarez also believes she is a strong challenge for the current UFC Flyweight champion and number two ranked pound-for-pound fighter, Valentina Shevchenko.

Suarez says, “I do think I have a good skillset in terms of my wrestling that can give her trouble,” Valentina Shevchenko just defended her title against Jessica Andrade at UFC 261 and it doesn’t look like anyone else in the division can present a stiff challenge to her.

The entrance of the undefeated prospect in Shevchenko’s division will spice up things for sure.
