UFC 263 headlined by Israel Adesanya vs Marvin Vettori sells 600,000 PPVs worldwide!

UFC 263 concluded a week ago, and was a massive hit, thanks to three brilliant fights in the main card.

UFC 263 was a stunning hit. The card was stacked with three-five round fights, with Nate Diaz taking on Leon Edwards in the first-ever five-round non-title fight. The co-main event featured a flyweight title bout between Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno. A middleweight title bout between Israel Adesanya and Marvin Vettori was the headliner event.


The other two fights in the main card turned out to be between well known fighters as well. In the first event of the main-card, Jamahal Hill was defeated by Paul Craig in the very first round via. TKO, after his arm was broken by a vicious armbar from the Scotsman.

In the second fight of the main card, Demian Maia took on Belal Muhammad. The fight went the full 3 rounds, and Muhammad emerged victorious via. unanimous decision.


UFC 262 sold only 300,000 PPVs worldwide!

More recently, details about the PPV buys for UFC 263 were released. It is believed that UFC 263 sold 600,000 PPVs worldwide, out of which 500,000 alone have come from ESPN+. It is also being reported that this is the third consecutive time Adesanya is breaking the 500,000 PPV barrier.

‘The Last Stylebender’s UFC 259, which he headlined against Jan Blachowicz in a light-heavyweight title bout sold 800,000 PPVs worldwide. Prior to that, Izzy had beaten the previously unbeaten Paulo Costa at UFC 253. It sold 700,000 PPVs worldwide.

It is worth noting that, UFC 262 sold only 300,000 PPVs worldwide. This is a massive 300,000 jump following the event. UFC 264 is expected to sell a lot more than all these events, since it headlines a fight between ‘The Face of the Fight Game’ Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier.

A welterweight contest between Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson and Gilbert Burns also features in the same card. UFC 257 which featured Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier 2 sold a stunning 1.6 million PPVs worldwide.
