In the Featherweight contest of UFC Vegas 19, Darrick Minner (1-1 UFC) stepped inside the Octagon against Charles Rosa (4-4 UFC).
Round 1: Minner started the round with some leg kicks, Rosa attempted an early takedown but eats a knee. Minner tried to dive in from the range but Rosa backs him away. Rosa lands a big kick to the body, Minner drags him to the floor of the Octagon.
Minner gets aggressive in the top mount position, Rosa tried to scramble and attempted an armbar but Minner escapes. Rosa turned his attention to legs and tried for a kneebar but the horn sounds and Minner survives.
Round 2: Both the fighters traded some punches at the start of the round. Minner rushes for one more takedown, Rosa swings back but didn’t find his range. Rosa tries to get up but Minner isn’t letting him do it. Minner drills the body and tried for a guillotine and Rosa tried to save him.
Rosa survives but Minner turned for an armbar now less than five seconds remaining and saved by the bell again.

Round 3: Miner lands some heavy shots at the start of the round and he scores an early takedown. He is once again in control and there is very little Rosa can do. Rosa scrambled and tried to hold the grip for Kimura but Minner eventually gets free once again.
He is on the top once again raining some Heavy shots and Rosa somehow survived. Both of them get up and Minner lands some hooks. The fight ends.
