UFC Vegas 41 (Co-main event): After three rounds of constant back-and-forth, Grant Dawson vs Rickly Glenn ended up in a draw

The co-main event of UFC Vegas 41 was headlined by the featherweight contest between Grant Dawson (17-1 MMA, 5-0 UFC) and Ricky Glenn (22-6-1 MMA, 4-3 UFC).

Round 1 – Dawson acquired the center of the octagon, and pushed Glenn back against the cage, he went for a takedown, got one but Glenn used the momentum to get right back up. Dawson pursued it again, and this time he secured in a body triangle that he maintained till the end of the round. Great round for Dawson.

Round 2 – Glenn knew he lost the last one so he came out blazing in this one. He defended a couple of takedowns before finally ending up on his back. Dawson immediately changed position to move in the side control. He was landing anything big but he managed to stay on top of his opponent to finish the round strong.

Round 3 – Glenn had to do something in this round so he acted accordingly. He defended one takedown and turned things around to come out on top. Glenn secured the top-mount, and was looking to land some heavy ground and pound, Dawson defended well and defended every submission attempt from Glenn. Glenn landed some nasty elbows just as the round was ending, but Dawson survived the storm.
