UFC Vegas 44: Chris Curtis biggest underdog on the fight card produces a major upset by knocking out Brendan Allen

The Middleweight contest of the UFC Vegas 44 fight card features the fight between Brendan Allen and Chris Curtis. Allen is one of the most promising prospects in the Middleweight division and he stepped into this fight with a two-fight win streak with his latest win coming against Punahele Soriano at UFC on ESPN: Sandhagen vs Dillashaw.

Chris Curtis on the other hand stepped into this fight at UFC Vegas 44 with his phenomenal first-round KO win against Phil Hawes at UFC 268.

Round 1: Allen starts the striking via right head kick, Curtis lands a combination and they both traded some heavy shots. Allen holds Curtis and slams him into the canvas. Curtis gathered himself back on the feet and Allen lands an outside kick. Curtis charges forward with a combination and Allen looks for a jab and Curtis counters it with one more combination. Curtis finds a mark with a body kick and Allen responds to him with a head kick. Curtis lands a right hand and Allen tries to land him in the clinch as the round ends.

Round 2: Allen lands a kick to the body and Curtis replies to him with one more combination, Allen lands a pair of leg kicks and he got tagged by a pair of punches from Curtis. He rocks Allen with a hard right hand and Allen tries his best to cover up but Curtis kept the pressure high and lands a knee to drop Allen on the canvas. That’s it the fight is over.
