UFC working on Dominick Reyes vs Jiri Prochazka for Fight Night in February: Dana White

UFC’s start to 2021 seems to be in a good place. Conor McGregor is set to face Dustin Poirier in a blockbuster of rematch in January. And now, it looks like another big fight is being pushed for. As per UFC president Dana White, the company is looking to book Dominick Reyes vs Jiri Prochazka for the UFC Fight Night main event on February 27. The potential location and venue for the card are yet to be announced.
Must win match for Reyes
Reyes (12-2 MMA, 6-2 UFC) and Prochazka (27-3-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) are set to fight in a five-round light heavyweight contenders bout. They have had contrasting runs so far. Reyes, has suffered back-to-back losses after starting his career on a 12-fight winning streak. His last loss came against Jan Blachowicz in the fight to determine the new light heavyweight champion at UFC 253. Prochazka, on the other hand has had quite the run; making an impressive debut against Volkan Oezdemir at UFC 251 in July, knocking him out in less than 6 minutes.
While Prochazka will look to continue his winning ways, Reyes will certainly be gunning for a win here. The 30 year old fought UFC legend Jon Jones for the light heavyweight title and lost due to a controversial decision.
