Garena and Tencent are the infamous for their battle royale games, Free Fire and PUBG respectively. However, right now the two massive corporations have collaborated to release, Undawn, a new open-world Zombie survival shooter.
Free Fire and PUBG are the two forerunners in the mobile battle royale FPS/TPS community. These games have made their mark on the gaming community and has garnered a massive following and player base.
The companies have collaborated together to make a new open world 3rd-person shooter/zombie survival game called Undawn. This is rumoured to be released later in this year. This announcement came as a surprise to player who were just hit with the new PUBG: New State.
Undawn by Garena and Tencent
Undawn will be a open-world game which means that Garena and Tencent are making their way into console and PC level story games. The game will include the theme of zombies and the players will be challenged to a state of survival.
The game most prominently has the Third person shooter feature, which is the most sought after in open-world games. This title will be developed by Tencent’s LightSpeed & Quantum Studios, the ones responsible for making PUBG. The good news is that this game will have cross-platform support and will be available on both Mobile and PC.
The game will reportedly be made with the help of Unreal Engine 4. The gameplay will include RPG elements with a survival aspect added because of the zombies. Moreover, it will also feature PvE and PvP elements mixed in together.
The game is currently in its pre-alpha testing phase and players can register to test it out. Click here to register for Undawn.
The companies are focusing on the global aspect and hopefully will release with incredible quality. It would be interesting to see how they optimise it for mobile devices. Players are bound to be looking forward to the release of this game.
