5th-seed Alexander Zverev will have one eye on the third round when he battles against local player Brandon Nakashima in a Round of 64 contest at the US Open 2020. Nakashima played some enterprising tennis in his opening round match but is not expected to upset Zverev.
Talking about the performance in the first round, Bradon Nakashima displayed some solid tennis to dispatch a player ranked nearly 100 places above him. The 19-year old American did not have much difficulty in moving to the next round as he outclassed Paolo Lorenzi in straight sets 6-3, 6-2, 7-6.
On the other hand, Alexander Zverev had his task cut out against former two-time Major finalist Kevin Anderson in the Round of 128. It was a much-needed boost for the World No.7 as Zverev is trying to get his mojo back.
