US restart plans to get a delay because of flurry coronavirus tests in athletes

Major League Soccer (MLS), National Football League (NFL), National Hockey League (NHL), and Major League Basketball (MLB) only over 24 hour period confirmed positive tests.

Even players who are not showing symptoms, Leagues are doing intensive testing for coronavirus on them as well. On Thursday, US health official Dr. Anthony Fauci casting doubt on whether the NFL will get on the field this year. As many of the positive tests occurred in Florida, where both Leagues the MLS, and NBA were paying particularly close attention to Friday’s event announced their Plans to restart their season at Orlando’s World Disney World.

As Florida is one of several US states where COVID-19 cases have recently urged. The League in it’s earlier statement said that the health and safety of players and staff is the priority. MLS will now return on July 8, featuring all 26 teams.
