The Jamaican former sprinter Usain Bolt on Sunday posted a video on his Twitter account. Recalling his 12 years ago, World record of 100m sprint in 2008 Reebok Grand Prix Meet at the Icahn Stadium in New York. Later, He broke that record too in 2009 when he sprinted 100m in 9.58 seconds.

The eight-time Olympic gold medalist tweeted with a short video of victory, “#On This Day I broke the 100m world record in 2008 with 9.72 SECONDS!

Bolt holds the world record as a part of the 4×100m relay. An eight-time Olympic gold medalist, Bolt won the 100m, 200m, and 4×100m relay at three consecutive Olympic Games.

He was the first to win consecutive Olympic 100m and 200m titles (2008 and 2012). He is also known as a ‘Lightning Bolt’ and awarded with IAAF World Athlete of the year, Track and Field Athlete of the year, and Laureus World Sportsman of the year (3 times).
