Find Out: Valtteri Bottas’ reaction after finishing P3 at Spanish GP

Valtteri Bottas finished P3 at the Spanish GP, as he secured his third podium of the season. The Finnish driver started from the second row, alongside Charles Leclerc. He was surpassed by Leclerc at the start of the race, and was behind him for the majority of the Spanish GP.

However, after being put on a fresh pair of tyres, he gained pace and surpassed the Ferrari diver. Bottas also finished on the third spot at the Portugal GP last week, and is currently third in the championship standings. He was happy with his performance, and accepted that he had a poor start to the race. The Mercedes driver managed to collect 15 points on Sunday, as Max Verstappen took 19 and Lewis Hamilton grabbed 25 points.

Valtteri Bottas stated that he drove well on Sunday, and his pace was not on the slower side. The Silver Arrows driver was delighted with his third podium finish of the season.

I lost a place on Lap 1 to Charles and that made it tricky for me in the early part of the race. Otherwise, the pace wasn’t too bad and it’s good that I made it to the podium,said Bottas.

So far, Valtteri Bottas has not managed to finish in top 2 this season. He has finished P3 in Bahrain, Portugal and Spain, and did not finish the race in Imola after a crash with George Russell. Next up for him is the Monaco GP which will take in two weeks time.
