Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are a side who have always had some of the best players in the world in their squad. With two of the greatest all-format players in the history of the sport being their mainstays over the course of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the side has produced plenty of memorable performances. However, getting their hands on the IPL trophy has proved to be difficult.
In the 2020 edition of the tournament, RCB finished 4th and were eliminated by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Eliminator. This time around, they decided to release a huge chunk of their players and went for some smart albeit costly buys at the auction like Kyle Jamieson, Glenn Maxwell and Dan Christian. The team would now fancy their chances of winning their much-awaited maiden title.
Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers take part in photoshoot
Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and new acquisition Glenn Maxwell took part in a photoshoot today ahead of IPL 2021. A video depicting the same was posted by the official Twitter handle of the franchise who wrote, “Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers Photoshoot. When two of the biggest superstars come out of quarantine, they mean business! Schedule for today: Photoshoot, Ad shoots and then some proper cricket practice at Chepauk.”
The video shows the trio dancing together and joking around during shooting as they completed their advertising formalities. The focus would now shift to the cricket field where RCB will take on defending champions Mumbai Indians on the 9th of April in Chennai.
