Cristiano Ronaldo has finally brought up his record-breaking 800th goal for club and country as he scored the second goal for Manchester United to give them a 2-1 lead in the 52nd minute of the match.

After getting the equalizer, minutes before halftime through one Portuguese, Bruno Fernandes, they started the second half continuing their upward form after falling behind to a comical Arsenal goal in the 13th minute.

It all started with Manchester United brilliantly playing the ball out from defence, getting easily past Arsenal’s high press. Diogo Dalot put in an exceptionally measured reverse through ball on for Marcus Rashford who found himself in acres of space down the flank. The English striker carried on with the ball, driving inside the penalty box, putting in a perfectly weighted ball onto the feet of Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese struck a first-time shot, and undoubtedly it found its way into the bottom right corner, with Aaron Ramsdale rooted to his spot in the centre of the goal. Given that it was a record-breaking 800th goal for the Portuguese, understandably, on came the iconic celebration on its way, with Ronaldo going down the touchline to celebrate with the United fans.

Ronaldo has now scored 800 goals for both club and country in a total of 1097 appearances. The strike also broke his long drought against Arsenal at Old Trafford scoring after 4982 days, almost about 13 seasons after his goal against the Gunners in April 2008.
