During his initial years, the Serb struggled internally and lacked the belief to get through tough moments and matches. However, he turned it around over a couple of years with the help of meditation and breathing exercise.

We have seen how the 18-time Major winner has emerged victorious despite all the odds in recent times, and much can be ascribed to the fact that he believes in the pre-match mental warm-up techniques.

As he was about to take court for his opening round match against Jannik Sinner in Monte Carlo, yesterday, Djokovic was captured doing his meditation and visualization, thansks to Eurosport journalist Benoit Maylin.

Further emphasizing on the benefits, the two-time Monaco winner has explained, “I’ve done so much mindful meditation that now my brain functions better automatically, even when I’m not meditating. I used to freeze up whenever I made a mistake; I was sure that I wasn’t in the same league as the Federers.”
