Jasprit Bumrah has been India’s ace pacer and go-to bowler in recent times. The fast-bowler’s rise has been meteoric over the years, starting off in the Indian Premier League (IPL) as a raw talent before going on to become the spearhead of the national team’s attack in all three formats. Without an iota of doubt, he is one of the most feared bowlers in the world at present, along with a select few.

Bumrah troubled the Australians in the recently concluded tour and although he couldn’t emulate his performances in the tour of 2018-19, he was still a leader on the pitch and picked up wickets when his team needed them. His focus will now be on the upcoming home series against England which is set to begin from February 5 with the first Test in Chennai. There will then be 3 more Tests, 5 ODIs and 3 T20Is.

Bumrah does a Kumble at the nets

Anil Kumble is India’s greatest leg-spinner ever and lanky cricketer’s high-arm action is loved, adored and imitated by fans and cricketers around the world. Bumrah seems to have joined in on the bandwagon as he was seen imitating Kumble’s bowling action and bowling leg-spin at the nets.

The official Twitter handle of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) posted the video and captioned it, “We have all seen @Jaspritbumrah93 ‘s fiery yorkers and sharp bouncers. Here’s presenting a never-seen-before version of the fast bowler. Boom tries to emulate the legendary @anilkumble1074’s bowling action and pretty much nails it!”
