English pacer Jofra Archer is among the most feared fast bowlers in the world. The 26-year-old’s ability to consistently bowl excellent lines and lengths to both keep it tight and take wickets has made him a force to reckon with. With still a long way to go in his career, Archer is already on his way to become one of the greats of English cricket.

In recent times, the Englishman has been plagued with a plethora of injuries which have kept him out of action. He suffered an elbow injury during England’s tour of India leading to him cutting short his stay. Further, a freak fish tank accident at home had caused an injury beforehand which led to him being ruled out of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) that followed as well, leading to Rajasthan Royals (RR) feeling his absence till the time the tournament was suspended.

But now that the IPL might take place later this year, possibly in September, Archer could return for his franchise, giving them a much-needed boost in their quest to qualify for the playoffs.

Jofra Archer returned to cricketing action recently as he appeared for Sussex’s Second XI in a match against Surrey’s Second XI in the Second Eleven Championship in England. Straightaway the pacer was at his best as he made the ball talk and took two wickets in the first innings. The first one was the most impressive as Archer bowled a banana inswinger that completely foxed batsman NMJ Reifer and trapped him in front.
